Why I Shoot Candid — And Why It'll Matter To You

I became a candid photographer because I got bored of telling people where to stand.
Every time I directed a couple into a pose, something was lost — the nervousness, the excitement, the way they actually are together. I wanted to capture that instead.


So I stopped directing and started documenting. I follow your day quietly, camera in hand, waiting for the moments that can’t be staged — the tears your dad tries to hide, the way you squeeze each other’s hands right before you walk out, the chaos and joy of the dance floor at midnight.
That’s why I shoot candid. Because those are the moments you’ll want to relive forever.

All of our packages include a meeting—either over coffee in person or via Zoom—to discuss and plan your day. Together, we’ll create a detailed runsheet, go through every component of your wedding, and share our vision to ensure the best possible photographic results.

We also offer packages that include fine art, custom-framed prints, boutique fine art albums, and extended coverage to capture every moment of your celebration.

What does a typical wedding day coverage include?

Effortless, editorial-style group portraits that feel modern, relaxed, and timeless.

Full coverage of your ceremony, preserving every meaningful exchange and emotion.

5. Couple Portraits
Refined, unhurried portraits celebrating connection, movement, and elegance.

6. Reception & Farewell
Capturing the atmosphere, details, and celebration — from first dance to final exit — with intention.

Just tell us where! We are Auckland-based and always up for an adventure, happily travelling anywhere across New Zealand to capture your special day.

Some of my packages include a second shooter, and some times I will bring an assistant or second shooter if I have a large load of weddings to shoot in that particular week.

We have a team of photographers and videographers. Most definitely, and 90% of the time we work as a team. If you feel you would like only a photographer, that can be arranged. It will depend on the package of you choose.

We do all our own editing.
